important information

How we use your support

It is helpful to us if any donations or fundraised income is offered as ‘unrestricted’ – this means not for a specific purpose. This is so we use the funds you have generously provided where they are most needed and make sure that we remain a strong and stable organisation. Unrestricted funds also enable us to adapt to changing environments and the needs of young people, invest in sustainable growth and fund valuable core costs which support our service delivery.

However, all donations are hugely welcome. If you would like to make a ‘restricted’ donation to Centre 33 then please discuss your wishes with us so that we can make sure we are able to accommodate them and ensure the money goes to a part of our work that is important to you. Please note we do allocate a 20% contribution towards Centre 33’s costs. This means we can make sure your donation has the most impact by making sure all services are delivered to the highest level.

Each year we identify several key funding priorities which we know will make a difference to Centre 33 and the lives of young people. Currently these include:

• providing mental health and emotional support, including counselling and guided self-help.

• extending support in specialist areas such as housing and employment.

• developing participation work with young people.

• providing transition support to young carers.

Your support can help us fund these important aspects of our services. You can find out more about how we raise and spend our income in our annual accounts submitted to the Charity Commission.

Our promise to you

At Centre 33, we deeply value our supporters and funders. Your generosity enables us to provide free and confidential support to young people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We promise to always:

  • Put your donation, no matter the size, to use in a timely, impactful and cost-effective way that maximises the benefit for children and young people.
  • Be open and transparent about how we spend donations. You can find out more in our latest impact report.
  • Be polite and open in all our communications with you. We adhere to the Code of Fundraising Practice, which ensures fundraising within the UK is legal, honest and respectful. We love to talk to you, so please do give us a call on 0333 414 1809 or email us at hello@centre33.org.uk. We will always get back to you as soon as we can and you can always speak with a real person. We are always happy to answer your questions about our work and if we don’t have the answers, we will do our best to find those for you.
  • Treat your personal data safely and securely and respect your privacy. We love to keep you updated about how your donations are helping children and young people, but we will only contact you in the ways that you have asked. You can always change your mind about how we contact you – simply email hello@centre33.org.uk. We may use legitimate interest to send marketing and fundraising news by post. We don’t sell your information or details. You can find out more in our privacy notice for supporters
  • Ensure protecting and safeguarding of children and young people remains of paramount importance to us, including in public communications about our work. In line with our safeguarding policy, we are very careful about what details we share, how we share them, and ensuring we have proper consent to do so.
  • Do our best to make your experience as positive as possible. If something hasn’t worked out well and you wish to make a complaint, we encourage you to get in touch. Any complaints can be sent by email to hello@centre33.org.uk and will be responded to and dealt with in a receptive and timely manner.

Thank you for being part of the Centre 33 community. Together, we can make a lasting impact on young people’s lives.
