NEW CAMBRIDGE HUB
We're creating a new, bigger Centre 33 hub in Cambridge to better meet the needs of local young people. Join our Building Stronger Futures appeal and help us transform lives.
A NEW SUPPORT HUB FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN CAMBRIDGE
Ever since our founding in 1981, we have grown as a charity. For years, our much-loved Cambridge home at 33 Clarendon Street has been too small to support the number of young people who need our help.
We've bought a new building on the corner of James Street and Maids Causeway to create a new Cambridge support hub. It’s in a great spot for young people, just behind the Grafton Centre and opposite Midsummer Common.
At the new hub, we'll be able to reach double the number of young people every year, providing them with support for their mental health, practical issues and caring responsibilities, all under one roof. We'll have space for group work, our partners (so we can make sure services for young people are joined up) and more one-to-one support.
We're fundraising through our Building Stronger Futures appeal to fully refurbish the new hub and open its doors - you can read more about that and find out how you can help below.
And if you are a young person - don't worry. Our current Cambridge hub will stay open until the new hub opens. We'll keep you posted on the project. There will always be someone to talk to.
We absolutely can’t wait to open the doors - but we need your help first.

the appeal
We've bought the building and we're busy creating a space young people need and want - but we need your help.
We have already raised over £2m - 80% of our target - but we still need funds to fully refurbish the building before we can move in. Every donation, big or small, takes us a step closer towards opening its doors. There are lots of ways you can help:
Donate - big or small, it all helps.
Fundraise your own way.
Ask your workplace to match your efforts.
Make your mark – sponsor a room or part of the new building.
Every contribution makes a huge difference to our work. Donate today or email fundraising@centre33.org.uk to find out more about getting involved.
The Building Stronger Futures appeal has been generously supported by funders including The Evelyn Trust, The John Apthorp Charity, The National Lottery Community Fund, The Clothworkers’ Foundation, Wolfson Foundation and the Bernard Sunley Foundation.

supported by sir stephen fry
We're delighted that actor and writer Sir Stephen Fry has endorsed our Building Stronger Futures appeal. We're incredibly grateful for his backing and completely agree with his words - early, open access support works.
Early support can have a lasting, transformational impact. Last year, over 90% of young people Centre 33 supported progressed towards their goals, over 70% had improved mental health and 85% of young carers felt less isolated.
OUR VISION FOR THE NEW HUB

IN THE PRESS
We've been so pleased to see our Building Stronger Futures appeal covered widely in the media.
You can spot us in the Cambridge Independent - our campaign media partners - including news of our launch, a column from our Chief Executive Officer Beth Green, our National Lottery funding boost and our wellbeing advice for young people.
We've also appeared on BBC Look East, Cambridge Radio, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire and That's TV Cambridgeshire.
Our endorsement by Sir Stephen Fry was shared by BBC News, Cambridgeshire Live and BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.
