Confidential service for anyone experiencing problems with alcohol, prescribed or unprescribed drugs. Offer assessment, detoxification in community or in hospital, individual counselling, group work, family work, and advice, support and education for clients and GPs or other professionals. Appointment system only.

Provides counselling, information and support for people with alcohol problems and for those effected by someone else's drinking.  Offers a drop-in service where no appointment is necessary.  Call the above number for drop-in hours.

Meetings held every evening and most lunchtimes in Cambridge, self-referral only.  Call the helpline or visit the website for more information about local meetings.  Offers help and support to those who want to stop drinking from people who have stopped. Free, independent, confidential and anonymous.

DRINKLINE
Telephone 0800 9178282, 24hrs/day everyday.
National telephone helpline offering advice, support and information packs to anyone concerned about their own or someone else's drinking. Can speak to a medical expert if required and be referred to local counselling groups.  Completely confidential.
